Folks,

Even though I wasn't able to make it to Atlanta myself, I will be at Tunnel Hill this weekend. I'll have Federal blankets along with a lot of other goodies so stop by and say hi! See you there!

Thanks to everyone who braved the deluge last week at Tunnel Hill. It was great seeing old friends and making some new ones. I hope that everyone was spared any damage from the flooding and I look forward to seeing everyone on the field in the near future. As always please keep us in mind for all your re-enacting needs and visit our website at http://www.njsekela.com/OSCommerce/catalog/ where we continue to add many new items to our catalog.

I got cold at Zoar and Perryville with my "Sutler Row' blanket.  I just ordered two from Mr. Sekela to keep me warm.
Thanks for the recomendation, pard.

Dan,
You will not be dissappointed with the quality. I'm very, very, pleased. The other vendors selling these same blankets will have to re-think their PR and reenactors who bought simular blankets from other vendors will have to kick themselves for not getting a Sekela.

Robert, it was good seeing you again. My friend Ron loves his new blanket and used it this past weekend at Andersonville. He can't wait to get the rest of his order. It was almost cathartic. I got to spend a lot of money (not mine, though!)at your tent and my wife isn't angry this time.

I own a couple of Nicks blankets and I can tell ya, they are WARM and they are rugged. No one who purchases one of these will be disappointed.

I got my two blankets from Mr. Sekela this week.
Great blankets.
Great price.
Fast Shipping.
It has been a pleasure doing business with you.
Now these old bones will be warmer.
Thanks for the heads up , Eric.

Two blankets?  Rank has it's privilege.  I didn't realize how much more a Commissary Sgt. makes compared to us lowly privates.

You keep warm Dan and take care of those old bones.  Miss being you and the fellers.

Greetings Tom,
With the Western Federal Blues, I am a Reg. Quartermaster Sgt., I am part of the battalion staff.  I have a wagon and a sleeve full of stripes.
Therefore, A-tent and a small wood and rope bed and two blankets.   ( And a small pillow for this old head.)( Don't tell anyone.) I live like a king.
But I still get up at 4:30 am or 5:00 am to make coffee for the troops. ( Now it is two pots. One for the officers and one for my company. )
We still miss you in the ranks.
Take care of yourself.

All of these posts complementing the Nick Sekela blankets were the cause of me buying one this weekend at the Beauvoir Fall Muster in Biloxi. MS

I'm really glad to hear. I don't think you should be disappointed. It's per regulation....5lbs and all.

Sekela products are a jewel. I just received some cleaning patches and rolls...what a treat. Again the quality and price...wonderful. My new favorite vendor. We should change this tread to Sekela wears/products.

The only thing I've bought from Sekela thus far is my forage cap which is superb.  Once I get into a new unit I'll probably invest more through him...plus I'm only about 35 miles from his place of business.

I agree about the Nick Sekela forage caps.  I have one of his type II forage caps with yellow trim.  Quality wise, it is the best I've ever seen, let alone owned.

Ok Ok now. You all know that Nick is a member here and all this praise may go to his head. Remember I have to work with the guy.

Seriously though, we truly appreciate the accolades. One of the reasons I accept Nick's invitation to work with him a few years ago was due to the absolute superb quality and the amount of research he puts into everything he does. If any of you have not done so we have a review section on the website and love posting feedback there. You may notice that we don't advertise much except by word of mouth because ultimately your experience and reccomendations is what brings new business to us. We humbly thank you for that.

I wish Nick had an actual store as I'm only about 30+ miles from his address.  My wife would love spending a few hours with me looking at reenacting gear.

A physical store has been discussed but right now is not practical. Nick simply has his very busy workshop for now. If you are coming to Bummers, I will be set up there on Friday with a number of items on display.
