I ordered a cap from the internet a little over a week ago on Friday and sent a cashier's check last Monday. About how long is the turnaround time from Nick? I'm looking forward to sporting my new lid at Connor Prairie, two weeks hence.

As his representative I can tell you it depends on whether or not he has it in stock, what maybe ahead of it in line if not in stock, what type of item it is, if the fabric is readily available, etc. If it is in stock he will probably get it to you in time but if not I know there are a number of things he has going on ahead of it. Two weeks really is kind of a tight deadline so I would have to say that it may not make it in time. Feel free to  e-mail either one of us for questions about an order. I will be out of pocket for about three days but will respond when I get back.

You placed the order online on 4/26/09 and sent in a check afterwards, which only arrived this Thursday. In the future, please inform us of your scheduling concerns at the time of your order or enclose instructions with your check.

I am really sorry if I caused offense, that certainly was never my intent. I knew that I could probably call someone there but I didn't want to be a bother. I know that Robert sells your gear and that others have had great luck with your items. I was just hoping to get a ballpark idea, not a hard, fast time.

Thanks for responding though as I do appreciate it very much. As I mentioned, I've heard great endorsements of your hats and I'm looking forward to mine.

Woo HOO!!! Got me a sweet-lid in the mail yesterday. That was very quick and I'm extremely happy with it. It's well constructed, solid,and fits perfectly. I'm wearing it right now as a matter of fact.

I ordered a Federal Blanket on Mon. and received it on Saturday. I live in Ohio and it came from N. Jersey.

To repeat what other's have said. A few years ago I purchased a J.T. Martin sack coat from Mr. Sekela. I received my coat in less than a week. Of course, I'm a pretty common size.

By the same token, my guess is that if I ordered kepi, I'd have to wait a while. The term "fat head" pretty well covers my situation, when it comes to head gear!

Bill you may be surprised, Nick has gotten some pretty large hats out to me for customers in very short order in the past. It really depends on what is in stock at the moment, what orders are ahead of you if your item is not in stock, and if we have the material at hand to make your particular item at the moment. Like any other business we sometimes are waiting for raw materials or there may be a large number of orders ahead. Our goal is to deliver items in the shortest time possible. On special order items or out of stock items though it can sometimes take a while depending on what it is. The best thing is to contact us BEFORE ordering if there is any question about delivery.

I ordered a few more items from Sekela and received the items within 10 days or less.

They are batting a 1000.
