This book is a good overview of most of the manuver and inspections that took place on a regular basis. It provides the commands, placement of officers, subalterns and NCO's through each evolution. It helps you not look like an idiot if it's your first time as an officer, 1st or 2nd Sergeant.

I found this one for $4 and the Picket/Guard one for $3 at Half Priced Books.  The best $7 investment I ever made.  Now, what reenactor sells this book to Half Priced Books smile/eek.gif?

Hide your copies. I don't think they're in print any more.

Along with that, I would suggest a person no matter what "rank" you hold in a group to read any of the drill manuals, Hardee's or Gilhams or Caseys, etc..

With that, I try to peruse Kautz's Customs for Non Coms each year.
