Ken

Maybe there is a way to create a folder for those types of images and allow for constructive criticism of them.  Or a place for a person to post their own image for ideas about improvement..

You should have seen this "Stonewall Jackson" guy. I made a point to get up close to him. He must have spent hundreds of dollars on the uniform he was wearing. This wasn't, no offense, anything that was purchased at the Centenial Store. Very, very, very well done, right down to his rubber overcoat. I mean this guy was a dead ringer for the pictures of the real Jackson. I'm talking oogie, make you do a double take get a wierd feeling he looked so much like Jackson. He'd put some great effort into what he wanted to look like. Then he turned his head and there was that Bluetooth hanging on his ear.smile/eek.gif

At one point there was a guy from the 1st PA Reserves standing beside me watching(I stink at names)...whatever we were watching...and he hit it right on the head, "You know," He says, "Some of these people just don't even care to make an effort." "Yea," I said, "But, they got their $200."

And, yes, the spectators that were around us knew. And, yes the spectators were making fun, and having a good time at it.

See Bill's note... smile/mad.gif

I'm voting that he was a bit shorter than yourself, had a moustache, and his name -- if it comes back to you -- was Larry.  We were all in the color guard at the rededication of the Pennsylvania Monument a couple of years ago.

Bruce! Welcome! Good to see you lurking about. No, it wasn't Larry. This guy was at least as tall as me, the Stonewall Character, and thinner than me. Duh, the comment! You know...
See you on the 24th?

Dave --

I meant the guy who made the comment to you, not the Stonewall guy.

Alas, I don't think I will be there for drill, at this point, as I am away this weekend, next weekend (the St. Patrick's Day parade in NYC), and the last weekend of the month. I am fairly recently married (just a year), and she works on the 25th but not the 24th, so it would behoove me to stay home.

On the other hand, negotiations still continue. I am working on the concept of her spending three hours at the outlet stores on Route 15 while I do drill, followed by a nice lunch in the basement of the Dobbin House.

So one never knows...

Thanks for the welcome.  This forum is refreshing.

Bruce

Congratulations on the marriage..
One thing I have found is to offer my wife a spa day or some type of equal compensation for letting me go off on my weekends.  You could try something like that..

I did try at one time the "every dollar I spend on something for the hobby, she could have a matching dollar for clothes shopping", that didn't work as well as we thought.  So now I offer her spa days and chances to have days to herself.  I will take our son on those days and she can relax.

You went to Gettysburg and expected fine raiment?

So far, I have been unable to lower my expectations to what I usually get in that town. The disapointment continues.
