Look at General Stoneman's trowsers! Is that leather? Custom stripes for sure!

Did anyone else notice the porch on Gen. Stoneman's wall tent? Man, you see Farbs everywhere you go!   It also looks like a couple more kitchen chairs have disappeared from somebody's house. If you are doing an officer's impression in a garrison situation, it seems a couple of old kitchen chairs would fit right in.

Grumpy, I think you are right about the leather on Stoneman's trousers. If you are going to be riding horses a lot, that's a lot more stylish that just a double layer of fabric. I'll bet it's hot though?

With George's medical troubles, it is a wonder he could cross his legs like that. I'm intrigued by the lanyard on that one fellow, and that man with Grumpy Dave's facial hair. Sorta.

Bill, now you know that "front porch" thing applies to common tents, and not wall tents. Besides, it's the flat roof that turns RJ to his sermonizing.

P.S. Don't leave the ammunition behind.

Charles,

What actually caught my eye is there doesn't seems to be a fly over the wall tent. They must be getting a lot of shade from those big trees in the background. It's pretty rare to see a tent with a porch out front, that doesn't also have a fly over the tent.

I wonder if that lanyard is attached to a pair of spectacles?

Well, I think the lanyard is for a pocket watch as I have seen this before, can't remember where though.  I where a lanyard for mine just as you see here (unless of course I am a private).
