With a guy who knew everything there is to know about Gettysburg. Well at least he thought so. The topic started about the famous "Harvest of Death" photo. He insisted they were Cavalrymen. I told him he needed to look closer. Those men were wearing frock coats, you can see the tails and shoulder scale attachments. He is still not convinced. Go to the Libriary of congress I told him, look at the high resolution copy of the photo. They're shells! He insisted. "He's been going down to Gettysburg for 40 years!" I know they're cavalrymen! I've been calling Frasinito(sp)! He needs to know! He won't return my calls! (Because maybe he knows you're a crack-pot?) He was shocked when I suggested he check the official records, all cavalrymen didn't wear shell jackets. "That's crazy, yes they did!" I told him I had photo's that would prove otherwise. told him to check the Libriary of Congress for Cav. photos.

Did you ever run into a feller like that?

Can someone post the afformentioned photo?

Oh I would say a few over the years. I have always cringe when I see the lone person in CW persona standing near a monument and telling the spectators all about the battle as he sees it.

People who are convinced of their own correctness down to the molecular level are one thing but those who are willing to spread their malarkey as true gospel are quite something else.
