I just received a DVD of the photos Julio Zangroniz took at this year's Neshaminy. I felt pretty good about most of them, but a few made me cringe. It's a Mainstream event and the camps are what they are. Lots of canvas and cooking equipment, but little or no modern stuff sitting around. For the most part, the personal impressions were good and from what little you can tell from a still photo, the battle scenarios didn't look bad. No coon bones or feathers and very little hat brass.

By the same token, there were some things that drive me crazy, like the great picture of a firing line and one guy has a leather sleeve on his rifle barrel. In fact, there were a number of photos, where one person really stands out because he's either got a bad impression, or the wrong impression.

One thing that really stood out, was my belly. I was suffering from a bad case of the low riding sword belt. I've got to get more exercise and lose some weight before next year! In my position, you are pretty obvious to the spectators and while my kit is okay, the body sure ain't.  smile/eek.gif

I just looked at some pictures from the Kennesaw LH a couple of weeks ago. I'm looking down the line and there's this bulge sticking out. As I looked closer I realized that bulge was my gut smile/eek.gif.

Robert, you are only bulging in the front.  Some of us have the ability to bulge in the front and the rear.  Equal opportunity, you know.  See, my beard is not nearly as big as it looks.  It's actually growing on three chins.

Guys,

Don't you just hate it, when after spending lots of time and money on your impression; you see a photo and you're the most Farby thing in that photo?
