Barry, Every member of the Common Ground Forum is welcome to post on every Folder in the Forum. The very last thing we would want is to try to put people in nice neat catagories, that often just don't fit. Quite frankly, we don't want to see any facet of the Hobby getting trashed on any of the Folders. That is not what the Commom Ground Forum is about. By the same token, I think we all understand there are problems and issues in the Hobby that should be discussed. Hearing from someone with a different perspective is not always a bad thing. As a group, we need to be less quick to take offense and immediately go on attack mode. That solves nothing and just makes work for the Mods.

Let me ad my $0.02 worth also. We do try to watch every thread and when they start to look like they may head down an ugly path we pay even more attention to them. Although we have separate folders, we do so to try and prevent the predictable name calling and shouting matches that are so often seen elsewhere. Personally I think most of us bring something to the table. Just because someone prefers a more mainstream approach doesn't mean they cant learn something from the CPH folder; likewise, a CPHer might find something in the mainstream folder to talk about or learn from as well. One thing I think all of us can agree upon as part of this Common Ground movement is a deep rooted love and interest in history, especially the 1861 to 1865 era. --Last edited by toptimlrd on 2007-11-18 23:22:44 --
