That's the first time I'd seen that show. They took about 20 minutes of good historical information and turned it into an hour of garbage. I stink at names but, I did see some familiar faces. And, wow, what a mess most of that show was. They spent 10 minutes or more filming some Brit, shooting a Whitworth for the first time, trying to hit a target a 400 yards. There wre only 2000 Whitworths purchased and the chances of anyone having one outside Washington in 1864 were pretty slim. And, the guy standing beside Lincoln was shot with a mini ball. Then they spent another 20 minutes showing what 25lbs of black powder does when it goes boom inside an enclosed space and having experts talk about what would have happend, maybe, if it would have exploded in the basement of the Whitehouse if maybe, Lincoln and a whold bunch of folks, maybe, were in the right places in the room above.

Just the facts baybee. That show was so painful to watch I had to keep flipping to "Rio Grande."  The Duke and Angie Dickinson, are at least worth watching.

Grumpy,

Look on the bright side, if that show had been on the Hitler Channel, you know they'd have had to work in 20 minutes of "upcoming attractions" for that network. It's mind numbing.

That is so funny, however, very true. I like they way you called it the Hitler Channel.  Might as well be.  After watching the coming attractions every 3 min,you do not even care to watch whatever they were advertising when it does come on.  They don't need to call it a Premier.  When the show is over you feel like you have watched two shows at the same time.  You cannot remember if Washington crossed the Deleware in a row boat or the English Channel in an LST.

Grumpy Dave, Are you sure you flipping from the History Channel to "Rio Grande"? The Duke and Angie were in "Rio Bravo" together.
Sorry about this post it has nothing to do with re-enacting or the Civil War. My bad.(I am kind of a John Wayne nut)
An as for SWEET Angie Dickinson, my blood pressure still goes up when I think of her in those black tights.
