Although I have not been able to confirm this, there are reports that Jim Lammers of Cedar Creek Supply passed away yesterday of an apparent heart attack. Those of you who knew Jim knew what a kind and caring man he was. I bought my first set of uniforms from him and Linda and still have parts of them in my collection. Although I primarily knew them through re-enacting and being a fellow sutler I always considered them to be my friends and Jim will be sorely missed. As an example of their care for others, a couple of weeks ago at Brooksville, Linda came around to all the other sutlers to let them know of severe storms which were imminenet before the sutler coordinator had a chance to (he did an outstanding job as well of protecting us), because of her I was able to protect my camp and equipment just before the worst of the storm hit. The Lammers went on to monitor the situation and keep us abreast of the storms developments.

I will try to contact Linda tonight via e-mail (she will probably have way too much on hermind to take phone calls right now). As I learn more details I will keep everyone updated. Godspeed Jim.
