Thought you folks might want to take a look at this while it's up on ebay... someone is selling a scrapbook and photo album that has the original commissioning papers, a ton of signed CDVs, letters and newspaper clippings of a Col R. Rich, 9th Maine Volunteer Militia. When I saw the listing, it was up to over $1,200.00 with 14 bids. They show a lot of images from the collection, including the Colonel's initial commissioning papers when he was made a Captain. It will be up for five more days from this posting, if anyone wants to take a gander at it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Civil-War-Col-R-RICH-9th-Maine-Papers-CDV-Photos_W0QQitemZ280227535155QQihZ018QQcategoryZ156948QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I've spent the last hour looking at the pictures of the different items in the collection... --Last edited by SusannahDaySprague on 2008-05-18 01:44:33 -- | |||
