Is Jeff Davis' place ready for round 2?

For the first time since Katrina the plans are to have their  Fall Muster on the Beauvoir grounds.  That's in October.  The next few days should be interesting.

I don't know if anyone knows but, When the place was "reconstructed" were plans made to make the place fair better in another such storm? (today's the Katrina anneversary)

I don’t know about Beauvoir, but there was a house in this town that was hyped as being “hurricane proof.”  After Katrina passed through this time three years ago all that remained was a section of the chimney lying horizontally on the slab.  Beauvoir is on the water.  There is a four lane highway, a seawall, and a beach between it and the Gulf of Mexico

I just got a message from Curtis Makamson. He's doing fine. No real damage and they never even lost power.

Hopefully Gustav will turn out to be a flash in the pan.

Hannah is still out there spinning around and most likely headed toward the East Coast.  Ike has now appeared on the screen and off in the distance is Josephine.
