I have seen in the manuals like Gilhams and Hardees, a descrïption of the position of the soldier. And these manuals then show you the proper way to handle the weapon you are issued. Is there a manual that shows an officer the proper way to wear the equipment they are issued. I attended the officer's school 2 years ago at OBV, and there was a discussion on the proper way to wear your saber/sword. I didn't catch where they referenced it from. Anyone have a link to a manual on this?

I think it's in the Army Regs, like "reverse arms," not in any manual. Check there.

Dave Thanks.. SWORD-BELT 1509. For all Officers-a waist-belt not less than one and one-half inch nor more than two inches wide to be worn over the sash; the sword to be suspended from it by slings of the same material as the belt, with a hook attached to the belt upon which the sword may be hung. 1521. When on foot, the sabre will be suspended from the hook attached to the belt.
