I know of one other forum member who'se going to be there, anybody else? I'd love to meet up with you if you are.

Mainstream event but held on the original battlefield and some neat sites nearby (Kennesaw, Chattanooga, Tunnel Hill, Ringold Gap, Atlanta, Chikamauga, Kolb's Farm, Pickett's Mill, etc.)

I'll be either with the 13th Indiana or skulking around the confederate chaplain's tent trying to hide my blue coat during the day.smile/eek.gif(may not stay at night due to close proximity to parent's house)

On the way into the Resaca event site, take a few moments to visit the cemetery. The place is generally very well maintained, and well worth wandering around a little bit. As battlefield cemeteries go, it is has common soldier mystique that few of the others seem to have. Hard to explain, but you'll understand if you visit.

Charles,

We always go to a memorial service there. It is quite a nice cemetery indeed.

I will be going to Resca as well.  It will be my first larger event and I'm looking forward to it.  We'll be wearing the blue this w/e but I'm not sure what unit we'll be falling in as.  I've even gotten my step-son to join the unit as well, it will be his first event.  Looking forward to a good time.
