I was at Ft. Mcallister on the 4th for a small living history. We had a handful of reenactors there for the day where the park visitors were invited to participate in some sack races, egg tosses, rope pulls (tug-o-war), watermelon seed spitting, and wheelbarrow races with period wheelbarrows. Although small all seemed to have a good time. That evening the few of us that hung around climbed on the obvservation tower and watched fireworks from around the Savannah area.

The next time you are there stop by, the small museum has added a few very good exhibits lately.
