Greetings All:

I'm just curious about Ridley Creek and what sort of changes one could expect to see there.  I've been hearing that this under new management, so I'm naturally eager to learn what will be different for this event than could be found at previous events.

Respectfully,

Bob,

Yeah, the new management is Maury Hutelmyer, from the Colonial Plantation, Olga Leake, the Civilian Coordinator, Andy Siqanuk, from the Mifflin Guard, and myself. Look for a small scale Neshaminy. Except the "Battles" will be the basic semi-scrïpted tacticals around the farm buildings and fields.

Nick Sekela is going to conduct a seminar on getting the correct "look" and fit for your uniform on Saturday evening. That should be very interesting.

We've made arrangements for the reenactors to park in the back of the lower parking lot, which should be a big improvement.

The event schedule should be up on the Colonial Plantation's web site in the next couple of days. The "battle" on Sunday is scheduled for 2:00 PM. So people should be able to get on their way home by 3:00 PM.

This is the first year this team has put on the event, so there will probably be some "SNAFH's". Hopefully, we will avoid any major "FUBAR's".  smile/hide.gif

At this point, trying to figure Reenactor Math, it looks like we will have around 75 people per side at Ridley Creek this year. Right now, Confederate registration is running ahead of Federal, but it's a local event for most of the Federal participants.

The walk-on registration fee is only $8.00 dollars.

There's information on the Plantation's web-site www.colonialplantation.com

Julio has posted his photos from the event.  And as usual, he gets some great candid shots.

Julio, can you let us know how to get a copy of these photos?  How many total did you take at the event?

I looked through to see if he got any of my son, but I didn't see any posted.  Was hoping maybe in the ones that didn't get posted there might be some.
