I just came across this information on the Robertson Plantation. It has one of the few extant pre-CW era slave quarters and the main house is still occupied by family. http://www.robertsonplantation.com/rp/welcome.cfm Thought it might be of interest to some here.

Yes, it's Greek Revival with the columns and such. I haven't been to this one as it has always been and still is private property and has never been open. They are talking about opening it now. , I thought the same thing about living history there, it would be great. This house is mentioned in "Behind the Big House" as the slave quarters are still standing. The house is similar to another plantation home near Houston, Liendo Plantation http://www.liendo.org/; we do have events there.
