Last month I went to a corset workshop in PA (yes, a long way to go but well worth it) and now that I have a new corset I started sewing again starting with a new ballgown. If you're interested on either I have posted photos and comments on my blog at http://txcwcivilian.blogspot.com/

Annette,

Do you have a source for bodices similar to the one on your blog?  I need one of a male that more closely resembles a huge Bartlett pear than the stereotypical male form.  A bodice would help because I typically make garments too large, put them on wrong side out, and start pining up slack at the seams.   Yeah, I know, that is really an awkward thing to do.  A bodice might eliminate such a practice.  If they are not available commercially, are there any directions/instruction for making one?

Do you mean the dress form? This is home made. Do a search for "duct tape dress form" you will find several sites giving instructions all for women but I don't see why it can't be done just the same for a man. I used a combination of several different instructions using what I thought would work for me. You will need someone to help you, it is not a one person project.
