 Yes, if I'm registered for
the event; expect buckets of rain.

Yesterday evening this little box flashed on my screen. It was somebody new to the hobby asking what those three letters meant. Hey, we were all members of the "Awkward Squad" at one time. So, here it is:

C = Campaigner - Someone who prefers to portray a Civil War (CW) soldier on campaign.

P = Progressive - Someone who is striving to make themselves or the CW events they attend more historically accurate.

H = Hardcore - Someone who strives and prefers everything they do, wear or attend be as close to the historical record as possible.

Let me also add this. I don't think it is possible to apply any one "specific" label to any one person or group. I also think, whoever thought up these labels, meant them to be general terms.

How'd I do?

And now a time out for two smileys humping.

Thank you for the explantion.  Being the new kid on the block (never thought I could say that at 56) I appreciate it as I want to learn and understand as much about the "hobby" and as quickly possible.

Hopefully the little box didn't make you duck thinking there was a cyber sniper lurking about.

Dave

I think that was a nice vague (generic) way to explain it.

And the humping smileys were just icing on the cake.

I thought I was including my name.  Am I doing it incorrectly?
