The WIG is hosting the 2008 Battle of Pea Ridge Living History event. The event will be held at the Battle of Pea Ridge National Park.  We will recreate the split of Van Dorn's forces, one marching from north (McCulloch with the 4th Arkansas) and the other south (Missouri State Guard with Van Dorn).

Each company will have it's own guidelines. Frank Aufmuth will be leading the Missouri State Guard company. Tripp Corbin (thats me) will be leading the 4th Arkansas company.

This is the first time the WIG has gone to Pea Ridge and offers scenarios and situations that we do not regularly encounter. There will be a Federal company, Holmes Brigade, at the site as well during the weekend. We will work with the Park and the Holmes Brigade to offer a perspective of both sides of the battle during the weekend. Having both sides at a National Park represented during the same program happens very rarely.
