Some years ago I bought an Italian made 1842 bayonet from Blockade Runner. http://www.blockaderunner.com/Catalog/catpg7.htm My unit primarily does cavalry. That bayonet does not get any use except in show and tell presentations for school/civic/church organizations so I really can’t comment on its durability.

I finally broke down and purchased a bayonet for my Armi-Sport Enfield from the Blockade Runner. After two years of looking, I couldn't find an original bayonet that fit right. (All too loose at the muzzle end.) The bayonet fits well, but the top flute only extends half way down the blade. --Last edited by Bill on 2009-08-06 12:41:38 --
