Hello Gents,

I just found out that I'm going to be on the Color guard for the Zoar Ohio event this weekend.  At first I wasn't sure about it, because, I guess you don't get to shoot as much.  Then I started to think about it.  Hey! If I don't shoot I don't have to clean!  I still get to march on the field, or charge or retreat, or pick up the flag if the need arises.  So now I'm excited about the new expeirience.

THough I realised I know very little about what the Color Guard does.  Protect the Colors, I know, but is there any advise you all have for the fresh fish here.

Thanks.   Hope To see some of you in Zoar!

 Yes, if I'm registered for
the event; expect buckets of rain.

"Evolutions for the Color Guard" is a whole different ball of wax. Paces in front, paces to the rear, placement in the batallion, placement in relation to the right and left guides, on the advance at the halt. Properly executed, this is a whole lot more drill to learn. Better find a book and get crammin'. Or, hope there's someone with you who's done it before who can tug on your sleeve and point you in the right direction.

Good Luck!
