Since the 'burgh is getting ready to celebrate it's 250th anniversary, we've been treated to some historical diddies by the local media outlets. I found this that deals with our era and the concerns western Pa. had about invasion by the Confederates in 1863. It's a nice little presentation on the forts that were erected in town to defend against Lee's 1863 invasion of the north. As you may guess, little remains of any of them since nothing happened up this way.
