Welcome to The Common Ground! Our intent is to provide you with a nice place to hold civil discussions about the American Civil War to include Civil War Reenacting, Events, After Action Reports, 19th century life in general, etc. The forum guidelines posted below are similar to many of the other civil war reenacting forums on the internet. We have carefully adjusted and developed guidelines that we feel are pertinent to the spirit of The Common Ground Forum. Please read them carefully. The Administrator and Moderators will use these guidelines as a basis to govern this forum. Thank you. GUIDELINES 1. The owner and moderators of The Common Ground Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Users have the right to "ask" via private messaging why their thread was edited or removed, but a response is not required. 2. We ask that you sign your posts with a first and last name. This is a simple courtesy to the membership. Folks like to know who it is they are communicating with. Plus it helps the moderators if a problem were to arise. 3. The Common Ground Forum is not responsible or liable for any of the following: content of any thread, post, private message, or photo. Members have the right to warn moderators of any issues they feel need attention. Any and all alerts will be kept in the strictest of confidence by the Administrator and Moderators. 4. Member accounts will be subject to suspension or removal for any of the following reasons: harrassment of any kind, vulgar or disgusting content, hacking of member accounts, trolling, and bashing of The Common Ground anywhere. 5. Sales, purchases, or trades conducted by way of The Common Ground are soley the responsibility of the parties involved. The Common Ground, Administrator, and Moderators are not responsible for any transactions that occurr. However, they may be asked to moderate any dialogue between parties with problems. We do ask that you announce your sale closed when completed. Auctions are disallowed. 6. Respect. We all want it and we all should give it. --Last edited by Ken Cornett on 2007-12-18 22:49:03 -- | |||
