The books delivers on it's coverage of the cavalry operations during the retreat. Definately well researched with plenty of exceprts from both the O.R's and soldiers diaries. The main gripe I have is the editing by the publisher. I've never seen more errors in a book than this one. Words pluralized when they shouldn't be...and vice versa, missing and extra words in sentences. Seems like there's a gaff about every 15-20 pages.
