Learn how to be a 2nd Sergeant (the guide responsibilities are the killer) and relearn how to tie proper knots.

The reading list continues, so it's not really a period project.

We've been putting together a 'buglers band' book.....we don't have the luxury of an ACW 16 piece band....only 3 - 6 guys at an event.....we all play Bb instruments, and 99% of us can only read the treble clef...  So Neal Rudy and/or Chris Hall put together music using computer software (Finale) to come up with 4 parts/8 instruments in Eb, Bb, Eb Alto, and Bb Baritone. EAch instrument has 2 -3 parts that overlap other instruments.....so if you're missing a player or 3 you can cover up with another instrument playing 2nd or 3rd part.....

We have a dozen hymns that we've played to great emotional effect at local events and NSA Perryville 2006 and Mill Springs 2007. Time to open this up to more tunes......

Chris Hall is a retired band director and has graciously volunteered to start coming up with more tunes written in this unique, yet effective, arrangement!  As alwyays, we practice most of the winter to improve our sound/chops......and teach more bugle calls to the buglers....and reenactors!
