In fact, it has a leak at the bottom where the soldering evidently didn't take.  A quick soldering job at home is out of the question (I'd burn the house down), so does anyone know if I can pick something up at Home Depot or Lowes that'll handle the leak?  It's a copper cup, if that makes any difference.

If it's new, is there any chance that you can send it back to the maker or sutler and get a replacement one?

Linda:

That's the rest of the story. I bought it last week-end at the Gettysburg event. My first one leaked, so I took it back Saturday and got this one....which also leaked. By Sunday I had no desire to go to the sutler area again. I have all the confidence in the world that the sutler I got it from would replace it and make it right, but, rather than go through the headache of the US mail and such, I figure I'd give it a try if there was something out there that would do the trick quickly and easily.

Mark,

Soldering is probably the best solution. Since it is copper, you may want to see if any of your friends know how to do plumbing. You may also stop by a plumbing shop and one of the guys there may be willing to do it for next to nothing.
